Between: KidsStitches™ LLC ("KidsStitches™", "we", "us") and any person who creates an account or uses the KidsStitches™ website or mobile app ("You").
1.1 What KidsStitches™ is
KidsStitches™ operates a directory and communication-launch platform that helps parents and guardians find and contact participating plastic-surgery practices. KidsStitches™ is not a healthcare provider. We do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or provide medical advice. We do not accept insurance. We are not a telemedicine service.
1.2 What KidsStitches™ is NOT
- We are not the practice you contact through our platform. Each participating practice is independently owned and licensed.
- We do not receive, store, or process your child's medical records or clinical information. When you submit an intake form on a participating practice's website, that information goes directly to the practice's own patient-portal system (Klara, Weave, DrChrono, or similar). We see only anonymous telemetry (that a submission occurred, not what was submitted).
- We are not a Business Associate under HIPAA in Phase 1 of our platform because we do not create, receive, maintain, or transmit Protected Health Information on behalf of the practices.
1.3 Emergency use
If your child is having a medical emergency, call 911. KidsStitches™ is not designed for, and must not be used for, emergency medical response.
1.4 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the legal parent, guardian, or authorized representative of any minor whose information you enter. By using the platform you represent that you have that legal right.
1.5 Your account, the KidsStitches™ membership, and how fees work
You can browse the directory without an account. To submit a consult intake to a participating practice you create a free KidsStitches™ account. Submitting an intake also requires choosing one of the three KidsStitches™ options below — this is the platform fee that lets us operate the directory, security, and support:
- Family Plan · $49.00 / year (best value): covers your whole family for a full year. Cancel anytime; the plan stays active until the end of the year you paid for and does not auto-renew unless you turn renewal on.
- Family Plan · $4.99 / month · 12-month minimum commitment: billed monthly, minimum term is 12 months. You may cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the 12-month term. Whole family, cancel-anytime after month 12.
- One-time Episode · $125.00: covers this single injury only. No recurring charge, no future access to submit new consults with this option — if a new injury happens later you pick a new option at that time.
Platform fee vs. practice fee — always two lines, never merged. Every checkout screen shows two clear lines: the KidsStitches™ platform fee (the option you chose above, paid to KidsStitches™) and the practice's consult fee (paid directly to that practice's own Stripe account). These are two simultaneous charges from one card entry. We never take a percentage of the practice's fee and we never merge the two into one ambiguous total.
1.6 What we collect
See the full Privacy Policy. Briefly: your email, password hash, self-chosen display name, coarse ZIP prefix, anonymous telemetry, and billing information (processed by Stripe). We do not collect your child's name, DOB, sex, medical history, injury photos, or any PHI.
1.7 Payments & refunds
Billing is processed by Stripe. Practice consult fees are non-refundable once the practice's clinical team begins the review of your submission — you'll see that disclosure at the moment of payment. The KidsStitches™ platform fee follows the option you chose: annual and monthly memberships are non-refundable but stay active for the paid period; the one-time episode fee is non-refundable once your intake is submitted. Prices shown at checkout are the prices you pay; we may change future prices with notice but the option you signed up for keeps its price for its term.
1.8 Prohibited use
You will not: (a) misrepresent yourself as another person or as a minor's guardian; (b) submit false emergency requests; (c) reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy our platform; (d) use the platform to solicit or receive medical advice from KidsStitches™ (we don't give any).
1.9 Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS". KIDSSTITCHES DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Search results, availability information, and estimated response times are provided by participating practices and may be inaccurate. Contacting a practice through KidsStitches™ does not create a physician-patient relationship; that relationship forms only when the practice accepts you as a patient.
1.10 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
1.11 Governing law & disputes

2. Participating practices — subscription & setup terms
These terms apply to plastic-surgery practices that subscribe to the KidsStitches™ platform. They are separate from the parent membership terms above.
- Practice subscription · yearly ($2,990.00 / year — best value, two months free): one flat yearly rate for the full platform. You may cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid year and the subscription does not auto-renew unless you turn renewal on.
- Practice subscription · monthly ($299.99 / month · 12-month initial term): billed monthly with a 12-month initial term. You may cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the 12-month term, after which the subscription continues month-to-month and can be cancelled anytime.
- Account setup fee ($500, one-time): charged at onboarding to cover your custom installer, branding pass, and go-live checklist. The setup fee is non-refundable once setup is complete.
Practice consult fees collected from parents are settled directly into the practice's own Stripe account. KidsStitches™ never takes a percentage of a practice's consult fee; the platform subscription and setup fee are the only amounts paid to KidsStitches™.
